Owning a private pool is a delight, but keeping it clean is a job that requires regular investment. By cleaning your pool yourself, you can not only save money, but also ensure that your pool is safe and hygienic. Here are simple steps and methods to clean your pool.
Simple pool cleaning
1. Use a leaf scoop to clean the pool surface
The leaf scoop is an essential tool for pool cleaning. Attach it to a telescopic pole to easily scoop up leaves, insects, and other floating objects on the pool surface. It is recommended to do this step every day to keep the water surface clean.
2. Scrub the pool walls and ladders
Use a pool brush to clean the pool walls, steps and stainless steel ladders. Attach the brush to a telescopic pole and scrub vigorously to remove dirt and algae. Do this at least once a week, paying special attention to areas with poor water circulation, such as around ladders.
3. Rinse tools regularly Cleaning tools (such as leaf scoops and pool brushes) tend to accumulate dirt and should be rinsed promptly after use to maintain their cleanliness and effectiveness.
Pool Vacuuming
1. Choose the right vacuum cleaner
Fully automatic pool vacuum cleaners are highly effective tools for cleaning the pool bottom. Depending on the type of pool and needs, different types of vacuum cleaners can be selected:
(1) Suction side cleaners: Not recommended, as they can easily suck in hard objects such as stones and damage the filter system.
(2) Pressure side cleaners: Connected to the return nozzle of the filter system, they remove debris by filtering water, but the filter bags need to be cleaned regularly.
(3) Fully automatic vacuum cleaners: They operate independently and have the best cleaning effect, but are more expensive.
2. Clean the pool bottom like you would a carpet
Put the fully automatic vacuum cleaner at the bottom of the pool and let it clean the dirt automatically. You can stop for a while in particularly dirty areas to ensure a thorough cleaning. Vacuum at least once a week to keep the pool bottom clean.
Pool Chemical Tools
1. Test the pH of the water
The pH of the pool water should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.6. Test at least three times a week, using a pH tester to check the water quality. If the pH is out of range, use a pH reducer or increaser to adjust it.
2. Check and clean the filter
Check the pool filter regularly to remove debris and dirt to ensure it is functioning properly. A clogged filter will affect water circulation and cleaning effects.
3. Add disinfectant chlorine tablets
Put disinfectant chlorine tablets in the separator, floating water medicine bell cup or automatic feeder to slowly release chlorine to kill bacteria. Add regularly to ensure safe water quality.
4. Use medium-pressure UV sterilizer
The medium-pressure UV sterilizer can effectively kill bacteria and ensure water quality safety. It has a long-lasting bactericidal effect and will not produce resurrection reaction or bacterial rebound phenomenon.
You can easily keep your pool clean and safe by regularly cleaning the surface and bottom of your pool and maintaining the chemical balance of the water. Doing it yourself will not only save you money, but it will also keep your pool in top condition, providing a better experience for you and your family.
